Effective date: June 22, 2026
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Ezre LLC, called Ezre, we, us, or our in these terms. By creating an account, connecting a merchant account, or using Ezre, you agree to these terms.
1. What Ezre Does
Ezre provides accessible digital receipts for blind and low-vision consumers. When a participating merchant connects its point-of-sale provider, Ezre receives payment and receipt information from that provider, matches receipts to users when it can do so safely, and makes assigned receipts available in the Ezre app.
Ezre is not a bank, card issuer, payment network, payment processor, or point-of-sale provider. Purchases, refunds, chargebacks, card authorization, and payment settlement are handled by merchants, card networks, payment providers, banks, and point-of-sale providers.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ezre. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at alberto@ezre.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must provide accurate account information and may not create an account for someone else without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security risk, or misuse the service.
3. Saved Payment Methods
Ezre uses Stripe to help users save cards for receipt matching. Card entry is handled by Stripe. Ezre does not store raw card numbers or CVC codes. Ezre stores limited card metadata, such as brand, last four digits, expiration date, funding type, Stripe identifiers, and provider identifiers needed to match receipts.
Saving a card in Ezre does not authorize Ezre to charge that card. It is used to help identify receipts from supported merchants.
4. Participating Merchants
Merchants may connect supported point-of-sale providers, currently Square, so Ezre can receive payment events and retrieve receipt details. A merchant that connects a provider represents that it has authority to authorize Ezre to access the merchant account and receipt information needed to provide the service.
Merchants are responsible for their own products, services, prices, taxes, refunds, receipts, provider accounts, and compliance obligations. Ezre may disable a merchant connection if it is unauthorized, creates security risk, violates these terms, or stops working with the provider.
5. Receipts and Accuracy
Ezre receipts depend on data received from merchants and third-party providers. We work to present that data in an accessible format, but we cannot guarantee that every receipt will be available, complete, perfectly matched, or free of provider or merchant errors.
If a possible receipt appears in your account, only confirm it if it is yours. If receipt details look wrong, contact the merchant first because the merchant is the source of the transaction and receipt.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- access or attempt to access another account or receipts belonging to another user;
- connect a merchant account without authorization;
- interfere with Ezre systems, security, webhooks, or provider integrations;
- use Ezre to commit fraud, violate law, or harm another person;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or abuse the service; or
- submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information.
7. Third-Party Services
Ezre depends on third-party services, including Stripe, Square, Google Workspace SMTP, AWS/EC2 hosting, Apple, and Google. Their services may have their own terms and privacy practices. Ezre is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
8. Changes to Ezre
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Ezre as the service develops. We may also update these terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
9. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data. The easiest path is in the Ezre app under Account, then Delete account. You can also visit Delete account for instructions.
10. Intellectual Property
Ezre and its software, branding, design, website, and app are owned by Ezre LLC or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Ezre intellectual property to you. You may use Ezre only as allowed by these terms.
11. Disclaimers
Ezre is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error free operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ezre LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption. The total liability of Ezre LLC for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Ezre in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars.
